ENSIGN Bollard is a cost effective and stylish alternative to conventional sign posts.
The unique Glasdon socket system allows ENSIGN Bollard to be sited close to a traffic lane or on a chicane/buildout, where high visibility is necessary and signage needs to be most effective. The key-locking socket makes replacement of a bollard quick and easy in the event of an impact, and is interchangeable with other Glasdon bollards if required.
The versatile ENSIGN Bollard can carry a variety of signs, making it ideal for a number of applications, including roads & highways, traffic calming schemes, traffic management for supermarkets, retail parks, hospitals, universities & colleges, hotels & country clubs, industrial sites or private roads.
ENSIGN Bollard features four large areas for the display of signage. Two circular sign faces of up to 300mm diameter are available to display a wide variety of regulatory signs that fully conform to the TSRGD. Rectangular sign faces are available on the sides of the bollard that will also accept a 150mm diameter circular sign.
ENSIGN Bollard is manufactured from DURAPOL® Material, a polymer formulated to withstand extremes of temperature and impact tested in our Quality Assurance Laboratory as part of our BS EN ISO 9001:2000 test procedure. DURAPOL Material will not chip or rust, is easy to clean and never needs painting.
For use in locations where security is paramount, the ENSIGN Bollard is also available with the Glasdon GUARDSMAN™ Anti-Ram Raid Fixing. GUARDSMAN Fixing features a steel reinforcing tube sited 745mm below ground that is filled with concrete for maximum strength. In impact testing, GUARDSMAN Fixing has been proven to stop an unladen van dead at speeds of 30mph. |
